Fall Getaway to Florida’s 30A

Sorry I have been MIA lately!  Things have been crazy, between homeschooling, hurricanes and being out of town more often than usual!  However, I am happy to be back and sharing with you some details from our fall getaway!  If you are following me on Instagram, I shared some of our photos with you while we were there in my Stories.  If you don’t follow me, you can here.

Sean and I planned this trip to one of our favorite places months ago, and I had been counting down the days!  While we typically stay pretty busy when we bring the kids, we were looking forward to just getting away for a couple of days to relax.  There wasn’t much on the agenda this time outside of sleeping in, eating good food and maybe visiting a couple of our favorite shops.  We are pretty easy like that.

If you are a design lover, there is a good chance you are already familiar with Florida’s 30A.  This gorgeous stretch of Florida Gulf Coast towns (between Destin and Panama City) has become a trendy summer travel destination, but want to know a secret?  October is one of the very best times to go!  The crowds have thinned out a bit, and the weather has cooled slightly, making it a perfect autumn getaway.

We have gone several times in both the summer and the fall, so I wanted to share with you some of our favorite places to go and things to do for a simple and relaxing weekend on 30A:

Top 5 Things to Do:

1.  Rent a bike

Biking is the preferred mode of transportation, and with towns like Rosemary, Seacrest, and Alys so close together, bikes are the perfect way to get from place to place.

2.  Visit the charming shops in Rosemary, Seaside, Grayton, and 30Avenue

Not only is it great shopping, but each store is so beautifully well designed!  Regardless of whether you are there to shop or just browse, you will come away feeling inspired!  Here are just a couple of examples…
